Oooh … and now for something completely different.
How does Luero’s hair do that? In panel 2 I mean?
At around neck level, it’s growing at an angle that couldn’t possibly be from his head. He’s got hair growing out of his hair! O_o
Hairception.
The strands closer to the front are bangs, he just has them pulled back. Just like in the other panels.
There should be additional hair above those pulled-back bangs though, since there’s hair below them that’s at that angle from so far back.
As it is, with hair growing out from the end of the bangs below them, but not above, he’s either got hair that’s bending at a very unnatural angle inside his bangs, or he’s got hair growing from inside his hair.
In the average panel Luero’s hair grows from the direction of his head, which is what hair does. In that one it’s not growing from his head, which is kind-of abnormal.
She’s got creative freedom. Even if it doesn’t look right. Seriously though, who would point that out? Everyone makes mistakes, okay.
Certainly everyone makes mistakes, and pointing them out helps the artist spot them. I prefer to have people catch odd anatomy and whatnot when I draw, and I try to do the same for other artists. Most that I know prefer honest criticism to blind praise.
It’s because it’s being flipped backwards against it’s normal flow, being held there by the headband. My hair does that too when I wear headbands.
I don’t think we’re talking about the same bit of hair. ^_^’
Aaaaha. I think I see what you’re talking about now. I had to scroll up and down between the panel and your description and stare at it for a while, but yes. The hair growing under the flipped back part could use some angle correction so it doesn’t look like it’s growing out of the rest of the hair. I never would have spotted that on my own though…. You have super observational skills.

See, this is a good thing. you worked on this page even though you probably need to rest. I’m glad you’re getting that much needed rest, but pleased your love for your work and your readers shows. This is a good page because it re-focuses us on Tanna’s personal objective and mission. There’s a sense of urgency. And it leaves us still wondering about those mysterious circumstances we just saw and sheds a a new question into Rolan’s story: Where’s our High Elf Derpy off to? We’ll find out in the next chapter. This is why this sort of scenario is known as a “cliff-hanger climax!” Very well done. Oh. And for the record, I love the perspective in the last panel. The over-the-shoulder shot. An overall good way to end this chapter on a climax and leave us wanting more.

Did anyone else notice that Luero called Rolan “Master” High elf? …. Methinks Rolan’s layers are being slowly unwrapped. Like an onion.
He’s called him that before, and it’s just a respectful term for a younger person. When I was in High School I went on a cruise and they had everyone’s names listed on the cabins, both me and my brother were listed as Master while my father was listed as Mister.

I hope you don’t mind my saying, but Luero’s torso looks a bit odd in the first panel.
It’s the armor if it’s too tight you can’t move, or breathe for that matter, however on the other side if it’s too loose it looks like you’re wearing a leather poncho.
hmmm, dragon age you say? yeah all is forgiven, now when you’re done with that one you need to try dragon’s dogma, it has it’s flaws but I’ve never felt more baddass slaying a dragon than in that game…
