This would probably only be confusing if there were multiple people in the group with the same job title. If you go in a teachers lounge and shout out “Hey, Teacher!” they aren’t going to know who you’re talking to. Now, if you’re in the doctor’s office and say “Hey, doc”… well, there’s only one doctor in there, so it’s obvious who you’re talking to.
Well, maybe they can… But that rather is not the dark elf. He has too pale skin for me. Dark elves have dark skin and bright hairs. The man holding Tanna has bright skin (or is wearing white gloves).
Going four posts back (to P24) I would say he is rather one of that soldiers. From scratches of his outlook I caught and compare with those soldiers I can say he wears same gloves and robe.

Drow were mentioned to have between an ashen gray and charcoal skin color. It varies depending on the individual. There is the possibility of split bloodlines, and soforth, but that would be speculation.

The dark elf the guards are trying to bring back to life is wearing long robes, soldiers and the one who is holding Tanna wears same gloves and capes.
Yes, there is possibility the dark elf was one of that soldiers, also it is interesting where does Rolan disappeared.
The problem is: if the soldier is silencing Tanna, what’s the problem with telling the priestess? Less distractions, or some further use that Tanna can fulfill?
