Server Migrationon February 27, 2012 at 8:33 PM
Today you might have noticed that the site was either hard to get to or giving you an error message when trying to go anywhere past the main page. This is due to the fact that we’re getting too much traffic for our small shared space to handle (Cuz you all are awesome like that). Therefore, I have reqested that we be migrated to our own Virtual Private Server. That way we’re not eating up all of the shared resources and forcing dreamhost to kill stuff so we don’t bring down the whole server.
This migration will be done in the next 24-48 hours so expect everything to be a little wonky for the next day or 2. Seems like things went haywire for about an hour, but everything should be working like normal soon. After the migration, I’m expecting that things will actually start to work a bit smoother, so that’s a plus.
I’ll update everyone once that has been completed. But until then, DON’T PANIC!

Update: Ok, I’m flabbergasted… I put in to have our system setup on a VPS at 8:10ish PST, then sent in a support ticket requesting that someone take a look at our system since it was down. They’ve already sent me an email saying the VPS is up and running and things are being migrated over, it’s 8:45 PST. I can already see the difference in speed on my WordPress interface. Kudos to you Dreamhost, you’re amazing and I’m happy to give you my money.
