I want to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who replied to Archmages blog post. I wasn’t sure what to expect when he first put the question up and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at the multitude of compliments sprinkled with some honest feedback. You guys rock. I was thinking of going through all of the comments and thanking you all individually but at some point it would have gotten repeatitive. So, instead, here’s a blanket THANK YOU FOR BEING AWESOME AND TAKING THE TIME TO SHOW YOUR AWESOMENESS!! Love you guys!

Honestly, I think Rolan would respond better to positive reinforcement. Give him a treat and a pat on the head to reinforce good behavior and you’ll have him trained in no time.

Or at least the equivalent of a human’s lifespan… Still a pretty long time, though!

Here’s to hoping the fan girls keep their collective yaps shut and don’t go gossiping about Tanna and Drethalrolan’s scene around the village. But yeah. They probably will. Y’know, for such a high ranking High Elf, Rolan sure is well…derpy. I would not wanna be on the receiving end of Lady Tanna’s anger!
When you live in a secluded elf village, where everyone knows everyone, how else are you going to keep entertained if it wasn’t for gossip??

Tanna is in a perpetual state of trouble even since I started this comic. I have this nagging feeling that somehow I this is my fault… hmm…
I’m guessing that Rolan’s behavior has to do with the fact that an ivory tower was involved somewhere. Probably in the middle of a vast empty plain. On the moon.
Anyway, I don’t suspect he gets out much.

LOL if we ever show them at the High Elf village/city/commune, Rolan’s home is going to be in a Giant Ivory tower.
… All I can say is that Rolan and Zalanna are two peas in a pod. Seriosuly. I imagine that a conversation between them would be awkward and so serious. What is humor again?
Not so much awkward as it would be dull. They are both quite fluent in court speak and would probably end up just conversing pleasantly without really saying anything at all.
You’d think he’d be familiar with things like court gossip.
You would think that, wouldn’t you?
You’d think they were required courses in nobility school. Along with intrigue, backstabbing and making the royal sibling the fall guy.
I think Tanna missed all of those classes. Probably cut to go shoot some arrows, or insult passing dignitaries.
Rolan, instead of failing at sarcasm, I suggest you run away, before Tanna decides that just killing you is the lesser of two evils.

I’d bet that Tanna’s dad would leaning towards Mayan sacrifice at this point… Someone go find the tallest tree in the forest and build a platform. We’ll get there as the sun rises XD Someone might want to go warn Tanna though…
Also: I’m really liking the expressions in this page, especially panel 3.
Tanna doesn’t need a warning. When the skies turn dark a cold chill will run down her spine as her skin turns clammy and cool… then she’ll know… Oh, she’ll know.

Only just discovered this recently thanks to Project Wonderful. I like the whole fantasy slice of life feel to the story, and the comic isn’t a year old yet but already has several dozens of pages. Bookmarked!
