There’s a certain amount of cheese that you can garnish a scene with. If you don’t add some, the story just doesn’t flow correctly. The same way that in Movies and TV you need a small amount of ham for a good character dynamic.
Oh I wasn’t arguing with you, I was just explaining the thought process behind the scene. If you have a problem with something you say it instead of sugar coating it (which we love by the way.)
They must be very close, not physically, I mean in a more than a friend and more like family kind of way, if he can tell that. I wonder what his interest in her is?
That makes me glad to see. Their relationship is a bit complicated at this point in a way that’s hard for me to immediately convey without simply spelling it out. I’m glad the subtleties are being picked up on.

I don’t know about changing ‘taking’. You could atribute it to dialect or a lishp. I myself have a slight stammer along with dyslexia. This makes for interesting word choise and an expanded vocaularyso as to work around the issue. Also, Here in Houston, the common accent supresses the ‘L’ in the word talk. The few people that do pronounce the ‘L’ sound like their about to say talcum powder.
I must also say that ham and cheese is an exelent combo. I’m actually going to have some for lunch.

Okay, that’s pretty awesome. It’s kinda amazing that ARCHMAGE’s typo actually reflects a dialect and can relate to someone.
