I’m hoping with these next couple pages Tanna’s and Luero’s relationship will become clearer.
It’s also getting really hard not to reveal the plot when replying to comments. XD Keep commenting guys!! You’re forcing me to work harder!! THIS IS A SKILL I NEED TO IMPROVE ON!!!

So, he’s like the big-headed just promoted high-ranking type of guy?
NOOOOOO I thought I caught that… There fixed.
You’ll see that big-headed doesn’t even begin to explain it.
As long as it fits in the panel, I’m alright with it… The head, I mean. lol
…Now I have the urge to draw him as a giant bobble-head.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I… love… that… site.
I have the urge to repeatedly press it.
….. *protectors.
I just can’t help myself!!!! It might also be that I’m at home sick with nothing else to do…..
The top row made my day, seriously. I’m still snickering at it.
Now I’m intrigued by who this Luero is.
And as an unrelated comment, I like how you’re still experimenting with art style, paging, etc. I hope you’ll find a style you’re happy with! =)
I’m glad I can amuse you! XD I had a lot of fun with those panels. I enjoy the silliness!
As far the experimenting goes I suppose it’s all part of the process. I’ve never actually made a comic before this one so I’m constantly trying to figure how what works and what doesn’t and trying to keep it all fresh. While I’m drawing I don’t feel like I’ve come very far but when I look back to my pages in the beginning… It’s kinda crazy.
I guess what I’m trying to say is the experimenting isn’t really intentional… it’s more like this whole comic is an “experiment” for me. I’m totally throwing my whole self into this. Hopefully I can pull it off.
Well, the thing I REALLY like about this is that you’re trying your hand at a personal style, instead of just following all the tutorials out there on a set style and being done with it. Or better yet, tracing.
I have to say some parts still look weird or off, but overall, it’s a cute style, and it’s visibly improving (especially since start). So I’m holding my fingers crossed for ya!
Thank you!! My own style is slowly starting to develop from all of this darn drawing! I can really see so many different influences from all of the years of drawing coming out and melding together on the page. I’m not really trying to be any particular style (American Comics, Manga, European Comics, etc) I’m just drawing what I like and how I like it.
I think it’ll feel weird when someone tries to “classify” my art for the first time… XD
lovin it
i like this new character
this could totally go somewhere awesome
lookin forward to it
Glad you like the new character! He’s super fun to draw and write! XD
AWWW! It’s cute the way they banter back and forth. Luero is a quick tongued guy. Good. It’ll keep Tanna on her toes.
We have a few characters like that in our game we play at college. Luero is awesome!
Awesome. XD
Seems like people are really taking a liking to him! That’s a relief. I was a little worried before introducing the character. There’s a fine line between the quick-witted, lovable guy and the condescending, annoying douche.
Dancing the line, baby.
Do you hand draw this or do you use a tablet? The reason I ask is I noticed that the tree bark texture is a bunch of grid segments. I figured there as a bit of CAD work or some sort of paper/transparency layering.
All of the recent pages are done entirely on the computer with a tablet. The grid pattern is made from tones (Crosshatch White with 5 levels of 60 point dot tone) from the program Manga Studio 4 Debut. I draw, ink and tone my entire comic page in that program. It’s amazing.
*sigh* I love that guy. As a character. I am most certainly male, and I am heterosexual, mind.
Such a teasing brilliance, he shows. So seemingly manipulative, yet charming. Rude in his mannerisms, but in a playful way, like an older brother. Truly spectacular.
Fifth panel: “prtectors.” Should be protectors.
