Dropping hints about other ‘elven’ races. Don’t make assumptions though! MY ELVES ARE DIFFERENT! YOU DON’T KNOW ME!
*ahem* Yes, well, what I’m trying to say is more will be revealed in time. Yup, that’s all I’m trying to say… yeah.
Indeed. Assumingly your dark elves are not evil. They just like low rides and rap music. (Not even a bit offensive, relax.)
And yes, Zalanna is getting quite creepy now.
PS. There’s a typo. It’s “make AN appearance.”
I’ve never really subscribed to the notion that an entire race of people (or elves in this case) to be evil. I find that to be very limiting. I’m more in the party of the ‘Dark’ in Dark Elves refers to their living arrangements (underground, therefore in the dark) as opposed to their alignment.
As far as the typos go…. *pushes blame on Archmage*
Are you saying that Elves aren’t people? 0_o
I had to look up the word feral. I feel like Zalanna is secretly craving to run with the her wild side. So she distance her self from other and calls out other clans bad names. I could be wrong. It could be my hangover talking. The comic looks grate and still it looks beautiful. Keep up the good work.
Heh, I kinda like that you had to look up that word! I really want Zalanna to come off as if she’s trying to stand out as one of the “elite” by using “sophisticated” words and avoiding contractions. That just means it’s working! XD
Thank you for your kind words and encouragement! It really does help!!
Again, typos… *coughARCHMAGEcough*
BTW, I didn’t know you could get a hangover from girly foo foo drinks.
Ok, Seriously? You’re going to blam me fo teh typos? When have I evr mad a typa?
1) Typo – Panel 2, Tanna says “A few year older” instead of “A few YEARS older”
2) I was under the assumption that Tanna was of the age where “a few years older” was actually fairly significant. Should I be under the assumption that your elves live much longer than we expect, and so perhaps a few years means nothing to them? Or perhaps you ought to change it to “months” instead of years?”
3) You have freaking dark elves?! Why can’t they be here at the party! Ahh! You’re holding back on us! Give us the dark elves!! I WANT MY DARK ELVES!
Um, I mean, yours. Your dark elves. So… yeah.
*sigh* never mind.
My bad, I’m going to fix these spelling mistakes after I get home and re-post… I blame Naarie for not sending me the page before 1am, I thought you were ahead this week!!!
You’re blaming ME for YOUR typos?? TRAITOR!!! :O
Now to address your points!
1) For any typos address your complaints to Archmage… he is the designated editor after all.
2) At the risk of giving too much away I can say that the elves can live for several hundred years. At this point Tanna is 16 and Zalanna is 19 so that’s not considered that much of a difference in Tanna’s eyes.
3) They’ll show up eventually! I never liked the idea that an entire race can be evil so my Dark Elves are not. Therefore they aren’t universally hated by the other elves… again I can’t say too much more without giving too much away.
Dark Elves living underground? Does this have anything to do with the long long Elves’ history lesson I gave you a while ago? lol
Drinking from 6PM till 3AM will do that to you. P.S. With the right stuff you can make your own drinks. lol
I think you are absolutely right Jason. When you re read Gln&#en8217;s comment after realizing he works for some biotech company, it fits perfectly. He isn’t really as stupid as he makes out to be…he is just trying to confuse people who don’t understand the science very well.
Don’t get the wrong idea. I did not drink after drink. I’m just a light drinker.
For a second I thought Zalanna started to arm wrestle with Tanna… XD
SURPRISE ARM WRESTLE ATTACK!!
I have to agree with you on the “evil race” thing. Within a fantasy story I’ve been working on, I had to depict my drow elves with a sustainable culture that conflicts with their neighbors, so neither is evil but they easily wind up hating each other.
No one said anything about dark elves living underground.
Honestly as I think about it I would love to see someone do a dark elf culture that doesn’t live underground; such an environment simply can’t sustain a culture.
Maybe they’re dark-skinned elves?
But what do I know? I’m only 14!
Check reply number 5 on this page. Personally, I understood it the way that they live underground.
And yes, the underground can sustain a culture too. For instance the dwarves.
I mean, feasibly in real life. We need too much food and fresh air. So, using dwarves as an example doesn’t quite work.
Unless you concoct a magical reason, there is simple no way to sustain that much life underground. And most fantasy stories out there don’t concoct a reason why there is enough food and air for so many people.
I always figured that Dwarves were cannibals.
What if they lived underground, but still hunted/farmed on the surface?
Well, Dark Elves and Dwarves aren’t real to start with. So, that’s a slip.
And personally, I thought about stuff like trade and a part of the population living on the ground and working as farmers.
Our heroes are themselves wood elves. While that explains Kanryl… That just makes Elon’s fears of the forest seem even more rediculous.
Elon, himself, is pretty ridiculous.
This is becoming a reluagr dinner at our home. Subbed Korean spinach for the greens this time and used soba noodles, with a yummy result. Yes, the crock pot makes a home-made stock super easy, hardly any effort. Thanks AGAIN for this recipe!
